In My Kitchen

There's a lot less in my kitchen than there was a couple of weeks ago, I've had some time off work and have been on a major decluttering mission!

There's a batch of White Peach and Vanilla Jam made with peaches from a tree that we dug up and brought with us when we moved here 5 years ago, last year was our first crop and this year we have had around 9 kilos of wonderful peaches.
There's a Panettone, bought half price after Christmas and just the thing to enjoy toasted for a special " on holidays" breakfast. Hop over to see Celia at figjamandlimecordial.com to see what's happening in kitchens around the world.

There are a growing number of lovely zucchinis, I do love the challenge of keeping up with them and not wasting a single one.

  1. Hi Linda! I love a good declutter too. Reminds me I must do my pantry. So quickly things go out of date, or rotate to the dark recesses of the shelves.
Your zucchini's look lovely and fresh. I grated one into the spag bol last night and it worked a treat. Its one good way to use up leftover produce.
Would you believe I had my first Panettone for Christmas! It was just lovely. I might keep an eye out for post Christmas bargains. I never thought to have it toasted! It looks yum! cheers Kirsty

  3. Post-holiday does seem a great time for decluttering - congrats on getting to it. "Keeping up with" zucchini can be such a challenge, how will you use yours?

    1. Hi Dee! Thanks for visiting my blog, so far I've done lots of grating the Zucchini into things like Spaghetti Sauce and Shepherds Pie but I think I'm working up to a batch of Pickled Zucchini Slices on the weekend.

  4. Yes, I love a delicious slice of breakfast pannetone toast too. I think toasted is the best way to eat them. I wait until that are on sale also. As to zucchini, I love them and use them every day but sometimes, a glut is a glut isn't it?! Thanks for the tasty tour. Fiona

  5. Hi Linda, how nice to peek into your kitchen again! Panettone is all over our neighbourhood - it's lovely toasted for breakfast, isn't it! And how glorious to get 9kg worth of peaches! :)

  6. Oh, pannetone! I have so much nostalgia for pannetone - we used to have it as our New Year's Eve cake with the Nonni. Thanks for the peek into your kitchen.

(Also, I'm noticing a big zucchini theme on every blog I've seen this month. Most amusing...)
